[BNM] What is the best way of getting Google Analytics data out?

As far as I can see, there is no Google Analytics API available...

A friend creates about 20 monthly reports that includes Google Analytics
data. She's wasting many days copying & pasting diagrams from Google
Analytics into Word documents!

Is there any way of automating the process of extracting data and graphics
out of Google Analytics?

Any experiences or wisdom most gratefully received!
