I agreed to help a mate out with his sluggish old P4 Toshiba laptop by clean
installing Windows XP on it.  On booting from the Windows CD and starting
the install process the laptop completely shuts down at seemingly random
stages, anything from 30 seconds since boot up to about 5 mins.  It's
running off mains power.

Anyone come across this sort of behaviour before?
