It was probably sold to a PC disposal firm - who will probably have 
different grades of disposal, and this got into the wrong batch.

Or they're just liars... and say they're incinerating, but aren't actually.

When I worked at E&Y we went through a phase where we paid a 3rd party 
to take old machines away and put a Black and Decker through the hard 
drive... so that's what we told people we did. Might not have been true 
though.
