I use Vista Ultimate every day. Visually it's 
a huge improvement over XP and I specced the 
machine to cope with the extra load - even so 
I get a performance index of 3.3 out of 5, I 
think. I really like Media Centre's TV 
recording features, Office 2007 is loads 
better, Vista seems more stable, but like 
most people I don't spend too much time using 
Windows per se so many of the 'improvements' 
to the filing system, searches etc have 
probably much passed me by. The back up 
feature's much better, shadow copies are 
useful. It works for me.

Of course I've also just bought a MacBook, 
but then nobody said it had to make sense.
