Hang on, you're fitting a lighter socket to a car, cutting a big
mounting hole, so that you can power your ipod, in turn to power an fm
transmitter so you can tune into it's fuzzy goodness on your car stereo?

How about just wiring a cable to the back of it, so that you can plug
your ipod in directly, or:
