yes but PVR is probably talking RGB though SCART  not composite/s-video 
through SCART. And composite/s-video through SCART is I what I think 
what your TV can't handle. Alternatively  your scart cable could be 
missing some wires. Should be 21 wires but some thinner cheaper ones are 
only 10.

Given that DVI is based on separate RGB signals (either as digital 
analogue or both depending on connector) it is a shame Apple didn't 
understand the prevalence of SCART in Europe and just build an RGB 
SCART adapter.
