It's not the socket - my PVR is usually plugged in so the TV is fine. And I
guess the scart mode is OK too because the PVR picture is fine.

I'll try and test the cable by running it from a dvd player into the s-video
port (it's a switchable cable).

But I'm still confused - should I expect the same picture quality as s-video
or am I wasting my time struggling with the scart?
