The data protection act is acutally one of the best bits of legislation put
together in recent times. That is why it is constantly under attack!

I don't think concealing info is the best way to go, controling what others
can store, and what they can do with it is the way forwards - however our
rights should not just include the 'correction' of errors, but the deletion
of information on demand, and the insertion of bogus information on demand
too - as long as it isn't with the intention of comitting, concealing or
aiding a crime.

But noone with power really cares about this - or if they do care, it is so
they can further exploit us. 'Opt out' links on spam... do me a favour...

If anyone is 'concerned' about disclosing something about themselves that is
not criminal, then their right to free speech has already been undermined.
