I use eyesite, they're great. Very thorough. First time I've had glasses
that didn't give me a headache (something to do with an 'oblique
astigmatism'... No-one else had spotted it before) 

Kensingtons in Kensington gardens have natty frames - but go to Eyesite
for the test.

specialist at the Eye Hospital..

    Does anyone have recommendation for a good optician? I want to get
an eye test and a new pair of reading glasses.

    I'm in Brunswick / Hove border, so nearby is good, but I'm happy to
venture elsewhere.
