[BNM] Colour Profiles

I've just got a new Lenovo Thinkpad, and when opening some psd files I get
the following message from photoshop:
"The document 'doc.psd' has an embedded color profile that does not match
the current RGB working space.
Embedded sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Working: Monitor RGB Lenovo ThinkPad LCD Mon..."
I've tried setting the monitor's colour profile to an imported profile
identical to the document's profile, but that makes the monitor look
terribly over-saturated.
Without it, if I discard the document's colour profile, output gifs etc look
wrong (too blue). If I go with the document's working profile the document
seems too pink.
Any thoughts how I can get the monitor looking ok, the psds looking ok in
the monitor and the output files (gifs etc) looking right?
Cheers,
Dan.
