[BNM] Email alerts with gmail on a PDA

Due to a slight iineptitude when it comes to dealing with spam I put
most of my customers requiring email services on gmail. Mail is
directly forwarded to their gmail from the domain registry.

I have one customer that wants to have an alert on his pda when an
email arrives, He has not yet brought a PDA so I am looking to advise
him on the best poss solution. He is currently an orange customer.

I am aware I will probably have to bring email in house. What about
Blackberrys? How difficult is blackberry server to set up, what are
the assoc costs?
