Just a quick followup... I used Big Yellow. The guy there was really  
nice, but we did run into a little (well, big) obstacle when I  
couldn't provide a permanent UK address (I'm just moving here now,  
hmpf). The online booking form provided the usual multi-country  
dropdown and didn't give me any kind of warning before charging my  
credit card the £25 deposit, so that was at least *somewhat*  
surprising (and annoying, obviously).

I had to give my friend whose house I'll be staying at for the next  
couple of weeks a call and ask her to come in so she could book the  
room in her name. If I hadn't been able to reach her, I would  
probably have been forced to send all my stuff back to Germany. Yay.

Oh well! All is good. :)
