You want to be talking to a proper security consultancy.
And that will mean paying reasonable dollar. You really *don't* want
some poacher-turned-gamekeeping installing his own backdors in your
systems while fixing them up.

Do you do any security analysis of your own systems? nmpa port scans,
nessus vulnerability checks?

There's a group in the US dedicated to extraordinary rendition
measures. They're called the CIA or something.
:-)

But seriously, have you got the local police involved? You should,
rather than taking measures into your own hands.
