I think that's more to do with Jobs' marketing perspective. It's an iPod 
that can also make calls, not a phone that can also play media. That way 
it's more of a logical extension rather than a jump into another world - 
same as the TV thing - Apple always make their leaps seem like logical 
connections, which they are, but they bend their marketing to publically 
make the most of it - maybe this is what keeps the fans on board in the long 
term. Makes sense to me.
