I'm not quite sure what you mean by hackable (no need to explain though)
but the iphone looks to have been built on OSX and it's too early to say
but i assume it means you can program it. I'm not sure you'd be able to
partition the disk and run XP/linux/sommat on it too but I think it's got
its geeky aspect.

I'm not saying that's anything new with phones so I would at least expect
this iphone to be able to handle programs that I made for it. Someone, at
work, said it had GPS but I'm not sure if they meant GPRS or GSM. Again I
know they exist but I don't have one but a phone with GPS might be fun (in
a geeky sense) to play with. This probably doesn't have GPS though.
You're right about the ipod though it's for style conscious people like
myself. My ipod is
engraved and its colour matches my heart.
