I've been talking with Ian Forester about a BarCamp Brighton for the  
last couple of months and we've got a possible venue, a provisional  
date and the possibility of sponsorship.

The recent meeting announcement was a separate initiative, but I'm  
meeting with Matt on Thursday to try and pool resources. No point two  
groups trying to do the same thing.

I've also taken the liberty of setting up a holding page on the wiki,  
so if you're interested in helping out in any way (venues,  
projectors, sponsorship) please add your details.

The London events have been great and I'm sure we can pull off a  
fantastic event in Brighton if we all pull together.
