I landed a place (sharing) within 3 days of arriving in Brighton by
posting a "wanted" advert on Gumtree. Specifically, mentioning that I
liked dogs got me several responses quite quickly. :)

Downside was I spent most of the first month waking up every Monday
morning to a different dog barking its ass off at me as I moved in
with a dog grooming lady.

The infinity foods place wasn't helpful, having only 1 or 2 ads when I
called in. However I'm pretty sure there was an advert for every
conceivable kind of yoga/wellbeing/alternative living advert up there.

Facebook? No comment. ;)

So basically would recommend posting to the wanted section on Gumtree.
