[BNM] Win 2000 / Win XP Dual Boot

Hi All,

I already have Win XP Pro on one partition, and wish to install Win2K Pro
onto a second partition in a dual-boot scenario.

Is this safe to do?  I seem to remember doing this in the past and then the
Win2K installation must have overwritten some system files on the XP
partition so that XP failed to boot, even though I installed 2K onto a
completely different partition.  

Is it safe to do this?  I need reminding!
